4/12/08 Alameda Point
Autocross #2 was blessed with a spectacular spring day at our new runway location at Alameda Point, with balmy temperatures, no breeze, and crystal clear views of the San Francisco sykline. One of the biggest crowds in several years showed up to play, and new co-chairs Carl and Matt Switzer showed that they are rapidly coming up to speed by keeping things running smoothly all day, resulting in a full eight runs for everyone in the crowd.
The fast times were dominated by Andrew Blyholder in the Hamilton Engineering 914, with both TToD overall and top PAX time by over two seconds. Those suspious about Andrew's times, given he did both the course design and compliled the results, can contact him at andrew@conflictofinterest?idon'tseenoconflictofinterest.com
Pilar Miranda took TToD Ladies in her GT3.
Next GGR event is May 17th, back at Alameda Point again, but don't forget the first two events of the Zone Autocross Series, hosted by Redwood Region at Sonoma County Airport, April 26th and 27th.
