Autocross End of Year
PCA-GGR Autocrossers,
As the Holiday Season unfolds and the calendar year comes to an end it’s timely to highlight the camaraderie and the collaborative while competitive spirits that powered our autocross events in 2025. Participation was strong with our Crows and Salinas events typically filling to capacity with consistent strong interest from “Student’ drivers new to our sport. We had a few women become regular participants and repeat entries by drivers who attended our April Novice Car Control Clinic. Getting ‘new blood’ into our club and events and making new participants feel welcome and included are important to build enthusiasm and drive growth in the sport we love. We did well in 2025 and can continue in 2026 to encourage new drivers to join and make them feel welcome at our events. It is in our favor that the PCA-GGR Region is among the highest growth PCA regions in the USA.
Planning is in process for a PCA-GGR Event celebrating the results of 2025 Season likely in later January 2026. Watch MSReg for notice of that event.
We are also excited to have acquired our new autocross trailer and be progressing on schedule with internal customizations and plans for external graphics to be ready for the 2026 season.
Our 2026 calendar of regular autocross events is now posted with six dates at Crows Landing and three dates at Salinas Municipal Airport, all on joint weekends with our sister club PCA-LPR. We are considering hosting Novice / Advanced Car Control Clinics in late March 2026 for which we would require a cadre of capable instructors, but our intentions for these events remain tentative.
We are grateful to Porsche Redwood City for their 2025 season sponsorship and support!
Thanks to everyone who participated in autocross events this year and all the best for the 2025 Holiday Season!
