GGR Social 2025 Recap and 2026 Sneak Peek

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and the new year is off to a great start for you. Our 2026 social season is about to pick up pace, but we are also still tying up a few ends of 2025. Our Volunteers and Awards event on January 24th will be celebrating everyone who made our community a special place in 2025. Starting in February we will resume our normal cars and coffee schedule.

We are working on a variety of events for this year, including an afternoon cars and beverages social (February), another installment of our cupcake events (March), a photography competition (to open in early 2026 and conclude end of the season), and a repeat of SPCA charity event in the Fall. We will continue to fill up the calendar as we go along, and we might have a couple of surprises up our sleeve too - stay tuned! If there is something you’d like to see this year, or if you want to volunteer for an event, reach out at social@pca-ggr.org

I also wanted to take a moment to recap our 2025. With 19 events on the Social side (independently and in partnership with other club pillars) we sure got our fill of Porsche community engagement.

We had eleven Cars and Coffee meets, largely within the Bay Area Peninsula and South Bay, but also one at Sonoma Raceway and in Gilroy. The community came out in full force, with the median attendance of 150 cars, and maximum attendance exceeding 190 cars. We hosted or supported four social events, including two Porsche racing driver meetups, and our Hiller GGR 65th anniversary and Thunderhill PCA 70th Anniversary events. Our creative skills were honed at three arts and crafts events, including cupcake decorating, Paint My Porsche, and holiday cookie decorating. We also had one extremely popular rolling shots photography drive which we are very eager to repeat soon. This variety of events was only possible through our extensive network of partners, sponsors, friendly venues, and amazing local businesses - we counted eighteen unique partners we worked with over the course of this year.

Huge thanks to our fantastic partners, sponsors, volunteers and members, as well as the larger Bay Area car community. Off to another fun season we go!
