Photos, Meet & Greets, and More

The weather is heating up, and so are the car events! Autocross and track are now in full swing, as well as many professional racing series. I know our club members are juggling many car passions, on top of other more pressing responsibilities. So it is continuously amazing to me to see awesome turnout at our social events - thank you for your incredible support!

We didn't host a Cars and Coffee in April but had a lot of fun with other events, including a photoshoot with Chris @Seen on Skyline (IG). The signup quickly exceeded capacity for this event, so we hope to repeat it soon. Due to parking constraints and the amount of space the group takes up on the road, we cannot conduct rolling shots events larger than 12 cars. We will be giving priority to the waitlist registrants for the next event.

In early May we got a chance to partner with Porsche Stevens Creek and Porsche Penske to give our members a chance to get up close with Porsche Penske professional racing driver Felipe Nasr. The meet and greet came at the historic moment, with Porsche 963 scoring three wins in a row at IMSA. The anticipation was building for the fourth record-breaking win at IMSA Laguna Seca the following weekend. Our members enjoyed an autograph session, a meet and greet, and generous hospitality from Porsche NOW San Jose and the Stevens Creek team.

Personally, I got a chance to attend the IMSA race on May 11, and witness the fourth Porsche IMSA victory in a row this year. It was an exciting day on the track and in the paddock. With the recent announcement of Porsche becoming the official car of Laguna Seca, there will be even more occasions to visit. The new Porsche signage is already on display, and more exciting updates are coming to the track. We didn’t organize a formal GGR trip this time, but I hope to put together a group next year

For those looking to check out another racetrack, we will have a Cars and Coffee at Sonoma Raceway on June 29th, during GGR HPDE and Club Race event - come join us for a day of trackside fun, with paddock tour, spectating opportunities, and exciting surprises.

In other upcoming events - June 6 is our Paint Your Porsche Art class at Porsche Redwood City. June 14 is our Gilroy Cars and Coffee with our friends down South Gears and Garlic car club.

Finally, thank you to everyone who filled out the PCA-GGR Social Survey + Raffle. We are waiting for the shipment of updated GGR swag to run the raffle, appreciate everybody’s patience and understanding. The insights have been very helpful - we will share the data in the next column. The survey is still open too!

Looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming events and as always please do not hesitate to get in touch!
