President’s Message: Volunteering
Dear GGR Members,
I wanted to remind everyone that PCA is a volunteer run organization, so we are always looking for volunteers to engage and help shape our Region. There are many ways to contribute:
Run for a Board of Directors position, each term is two years and you can run for reelection once, so four years max. If you are interested in any Board position, please reach out to me or any other Board member for more information.
Support a Director as a core team member. Autocross and Track events need a large team to put on their events. Diana can use help with our Social Media accounts and organizing our monthly Cars and Coffee events. Cheryl needs volunteers for each of the run groups at her Motoring events. By supporting a Director, you learn how things work and prepares you for future leadership roles.
Volunteer at an event, reach out to the Director putting on the event and see how you can help. It might be taking photos and videos, weighing race cars at a Club Race, help design an Autocross course, funnel fresh Porsche content into our Instagram account, be a welcoming face at the registration table… lots of ways to volunteer.
Whether you are a competitive person, a super social person, you enjoy optimizing complex processes, you’re good at herding cats, you excel at drinking beer, whatever your superpower is, GGR can probably use your help.
