Call to Order 6:13pm

President:

  • Candidates for positions up for election should send a photo and their statement to Eric (Secretary)

  • Pia Delanoy has been appointed to the non-voting Concours Director position - could potentially host more than one Concours in a year, but only one would be designated a Zone 7 event

  • Attended Zone 7 meeting

    • Each event with an insurance policy should file an Observers Report and a Post-event Report

    • Zone 7 rep will not host a Zone Awards Ceremony

  • PCA recommends we update bylaws every 4 years, and part of that process could be adopting the new logo as GGR’s official-by-PCA-National-standards logo

Creative Director:

  • Open to seasonal merchandise, but color scheme of website should remain the same to maintain our brand

  • Propose adopting Slack as an additional communication method

  • Membership benefits listed on PCA GGR webs site were initially copy-pasted from PCA National, will remove them and link to their site instead to avoid the need to keep them in sync

Membership Director:

  • Oct 1, 2025 member counts

    • PCA GGR

      • 3993 total (2830 primary members, 1160 co-members, 3 honorary)

      • 161 PCA Juniors, 31 renewals, 54 dropped, 29 new members

    • PCA National: 167,229 active members (110,435 primary & 56,794 co-members)

  • Our region was recognized as the highest growth (in actual member terms) in all of PCA last month

  • Vote to accept new members: APPROVED

  • Discussion of PCA National emails that go to new members and how that compares to our own welcome email

  • Discussion of year-end event - best timing likely early-to-mid January, Cheryl & Howard will assist in planning

Vice President:

  • Insurance in place for Laguna track event

  • Reminder: Observer Reports are due for any event required insurance

Secretary:

  • Vote to approve September 3, 2025 minutes: APPROVED

    • Google Gemini AI transcript attributes all in-person members to “GGR President” since that’s the account logged in from the Owl video conference device

    • Secretary could send out Board meeting invites in order to have accept

  • Discussion around Club Award nominations

  • Elections: discussion of who administers the election as Secretary is a position up for election - Alex will send out the ballot and share results

Treasurer:

  • September 2025 financials discussion and the club’s finances are healthy, vote to accept: APPROVED

    • Down since last time due to Track (recent Thunderhill event losing money, pending more income & expenses to reconcile) and the anniversary party

    • PCA National asked us to hold off on submitting for reimbursement until the end of our series - which means we have to finance that for several months

Autocross Director:

  • Registrations strong for upcoming event, still hoping for more

  • Coordinating with Alameda contact, who has requested a slide deck to take to the City of Alameda - will make a case for running a regular (timed) Autocross there instead of an educational event

  • Tire Rack Street Survival (TRSS) Program: targets teens (early license holders or even permits), developed by SCCA & BMW CCA and they have a strict program that hosts are expected to use (classroom and behind-the-wheel, sit in a semi-truck, airbag firing demonstration, law enforcement presentations)

    • Howard noted this was discussed at Zone 7 meeting and years ago - question whether we as a club (not specifically Autocross) would want to host something like this

    • Alan recommended talking to local BMW hosts about their experiences

Track Director:

  • Thunderhill event (Sept 2025) incorporated features for PCA’s 70th birthday, had typical DE attendance but lower-than-expected club racer participation - racers seemed to be saving cars for Laguna next month

  • Laguna Seca (Oct 2025) event registration has closed

  • DMV appointment booked to transfer title on the track equipment trailer to the club

  • [need to fill in from transcript]

Motoring Director:

  • 65 cars for last Fun Run plus lots of passengers

  • Planning 2-day run in late-Oct/early-Nov to Gold Country

Social Director:

  • Cars & Coffee with Dynamic Detailing had a good turnout and hosts were generous

  • San Francisco Sports Cars in San Carlos is excited to host us

  • Autovino is excited to host charity event, have received subsidy from PCA National

  • No Cars & Coffee in December but planning a cookie decorating event

Webmaster:

  • Presented proposal for obfuscating individual’s Google emails in order to counteract phishing attempts

  • Two-factor authentication will be enforced for all Google accounts by the end of the year

  • Discussion of a non-voting Technology Director role to handle operational aspects of the technology the club uses to operate

Nugget Editor:

  • Not present
