Autocross Director:

  • 2026 dates are added to Autocross calendar, gathering insurance requirements now

  • November 2025 event included 11 students of 77 drivers

  • 2026 Budget presented, vote to accept: APPROVED

  • Discussion around Car Control Clinic held at Alameda, and ways to tweak the targeting or other details of the event

Track Director:

  • Many headwinds: many programs (including ours) are having attendance challenges, needing to raise registration fees to cover increasing expenses, and are having trouble securing dates with the tracks

  • Recent surveys of people who drove with us in 2025 (~50% response rate) and people who drove with us in the past but not 2025 (~15% response rate)

    • People who drive with us often do only a few events with us, and drive with many other track day groups

    • Feedback that our events were well-organized and relatively highly-rated, with some dissatisfaction with us combining intermediate & advanced run groups (green & blue)

    • Neutral rating on value of our events

  • Incorporating this feedback into plans for this year

  • We don’t expect to have a date at Laguna Seca this year, but have added some experiments - early (Feb) Thunderhill date and a stand-alone one-day Friday event at Sonoma (August)

  • Thunderhill is being re-paved this summer, don’t have dates afterwards yet but will watch that space

  • Overall, DE will have 5 events: two at Thunderhill (one very early in the season, then a two-day event proceeded by Diablo on Friday), a two-day event at Buttonwillow (proceeded by Central Coast on Friday), a one-day Sonoma event, and a two-day Sonoma event (proceeded by Diablo Friday)

  • Two Club Race-only events hosted by CSRG where we’ll buy a run group: Laguna Seca & Sonoma

  • Held registration fees constant (aside from discounted February event) to remain competitive

  • Offered a “Season Pass” with some savings on multiple events

  • Discussion about purchasing extra 30-60 minutes at some tracks to maintain separation between Green & Blue run groups

  • Budget currently does not include any sponsorship, so will be reaching out to past sponsors and evaluating more differentiation of our sponsor tiers

  • Track web page to be updated

  • 2026 Budget presented, vote to accept: APPROVED

Motoring Director:

  • Last year: drove over 1500 miles (not including commute), had over 50 new-to-GGR drivers, did 12 tours with zero incident reports, and lots of smiles per mile!

  • Travis Air Force Board sent us a wonderful thank you note for the Toy Drive contributions

  • Last event had 20 cars braving the rain

  • Still finalizing budget but will be similar to last year: 12 runs, 3-4 overnights - will send out once finalized

  • Had developed a great lead & sweep team

  • Need a more consistent & reliable navigation system that works on both Apple & Android - suggestions welcome

  • First event will be a drive to the Awards lunch on January 24
