Updates from Zone 7 President’s Meeting
Review of Insurance Requirements
Club activities with no cars moving are covered as part of PCA National’s policy
Moving-car events (or those where a facility wants to be named as additional insured) need a specifically-issued Certificate of Insurance and follow-up paperwork: waivers signed (SpeedWaiver per-event or paper-copy with a witness signing each page), post-event report, and observers report
Insurance covers bodily harm but not damage to a car
Bylaws Committee
National recommends updating bylaws every 4 years, and ours are relatively old
Bylaws are legal, and Policy and Procedures can be changed without voting
A new template is available from PCA National that we could start from
Revisions must be completed by upcoming November election so they can be approved by the membership who votes
Committee Volunteers: Eric, Jessica, Cheryl, Steve F, Diana
Would be an opportunity to change the official logo to our new branding - to be discussed by the committee
Discussion of Dummkopf Award and its relevance (or lack thereof) in the modern age
Is the award (and the joking behind it) understood and acceptable?
Should it only be “awarded” when the recipient consents to accept the award?
Recipients have historically been responsible for finding the next recipient, as soon as one appears
