Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

March 4, 2026


Attendance

  • Present: President - Howard Yao, Vice President - Brad Zucroff, Secretary - Eric Wilson, Treasurer - Alan Jung, Membership - Wen Shen, Social - Diana Bogorodskaya, Autocross - Steve Forshay, Motoring - Cheryl Spott, Co-Track - Steve Hogge, Webmaster & Rally Director - Jessica Toney, Club Race Director - Dan Zitter, Ryan Holmes - Creative Director, Nugget Editor - Jim Tierney

Call to Order 6:09pm


President:

  • (Updates mentioned recorded under other director headings)


Creative Director:

  • Submitted website to PCA National competition

  • Helping out with Grille Badge design


Vice President:

  • Insurance secured for upcoming track event


Secretary:

  • Bylaws Committee

    • Have received template from National, will start iteration within the committee towards a draft that can be voted on in next election

    • Bylaws are legal, Policy and Procedures can be changed without voting - so committee will be intentional in what is defined where to provide more flexibility in the future

  • Seeking last few updates for 2026 Board Directory

  • Vote to approve February 4, 2026 minutes: APPROVED


Treasurer:

  • February 2026 financials discussion - club’s finances are stable, while in the less-than-favorable range, vote to accept: APPROVED


Concours Director:

  • Not present


Autocross Director:

  • Autocross 1 had 72 drivers and great weather

    • All but 6 registered in Zone 7 competitive classes!

    • It was the maiden voyage for our new trailer, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony and recognition of Porsche Redwood City for their continuing sponsorship funding the trailer and new loaner helmets

  • Connected with CIty of Alameda, and sent letter requesting the use of timing systems for educational events


Track Director:

  • Path to MSF Level 2 certification

    • PCA Instructors trained 2024 you’re eligible for certification after completion of Level 1 online course - Chuck Tucker is best contact

    • If certified earlier than that, can act as a mentor at our PCA Instructor Training and attend classroom sessions and get certified

  • DE2 is a bit short of budgeted registrations but hoping to close the gap

  • 7 new instructors passed the course at DE1

  • First Club Race will take place during DE2 weekend at Thunderhill (March 21-22), registrations are very low but we expect that to pick up significantly in the few weeks before the event

  • Ads have been revamped in the Club Racer magazine with help from Ryan

  • Evaluated additional club race at Laguna Seca with POC and decided not to do it

  • Redwood City Porsche will be the Title Sponsor with a significant contribution

  • Other sponsors are looking to get more visibility across our events to increase the value of their contributions - would like to assemble a small working group to discuss

  • Title for trailer has been provided and will be transferred to the Club’s name, along with its insurance policy

  • Track Calendar has been updated with our dates as well as Diablo and Central Coast events


Motoring Director:

  • Valentine’s Day was a great kick-off with 41 cars (5 new drivers)

  • New radios proved to be an improvement

  • St. Patty’s Drive has strong registration

  • Working on Grille Badges - quoting

  • Treffen at Sea: coordinating as a Zone 7 event, will be looking for (ideally) Porsche SUVs to ferry visitors when we host them


Social Director:

  • Cars & Refreshments afternoon event in February at ISSIMI went well

  • Women’s Day Event on March 7 has healthy registration

  • Next Cars & Coffee is March 14 at Euro Clinic

  • Looking for partners for April & May Cars & Coffee

  • Thinking of planning a Sim event

  • Discussion of revamping the Friday Night Social


Membership Director:

  • March 1, 2026 member counts

    • PCA GGR

      • 4057 total (2861 primary members, 1192 co-members, 4 honorary)

      • 168 PCA Juniors, 138 renewals, 63 dropped, 26 new members

    • PCA National: 169,677 active members (111,842 primary & 57,812 co-members)

  • Vote to accept new members: APPROVED

  • Seeking venue for next new member event


Webmaster:

  • Continuing to transition access and full admin ownership of digital assets


Rally Director:

  • Planning first rally event, potentially following a Cars & Coffee event

  • Photo Rally format: participants follow the given route and submit the sequence of photos as they are found along the route


Nugget Editor:

  • Submission deadline for this month’s newsletter is March 15, 2026
