GGR Track: Drivers Start Your Engines

Dear Members,

February has been an amazing month for the GGR Track Program.  

To start with, a HUGE thank you to Porsche of Redwood City for signing on as our Title Sponsor.  Their very generous donation to GGR and the Track Program helps keep our club going, so please consider visiting their Porsche center the next time you need sales or service.

Next, we kicked off our season opener at Thunderhill East where drivers were treated to absolutely perfect weather and track conditions.  Temps were hovering between 50-65 degrees with not a rain cloud in the sky.  It was ideal PB territory and several of our TT drivers set new lap records.  

We also held our annual instructor training program where candidates learn how to coach new drivers around the track safely and have fun.  Congrats to all our new instructors! 

In December we conducted a customer satisfaction survey of about 300 of our most frequent drivers.  If you participated in that survey, thank you.  The responses have helped us implement some changes to this year’s DE program, especially in terms of run group organization and time on track.  We would like to congratulate our survey raffle winner, Greg Nayman, who won a $500 discount for participating.  

Finally, for those of you who missed out on February - come join us in March for DE2/TT2/CR1 at Thunderhill’s 3 miles course!  We’ll also have the club racers with us which is always exciting to watch in between sessions.
