GGR Track Post for June

Greetings from the Track Team!  Hope everyone is having a great summer, staying cool and getting your cars ready for our last two events of the year at Sonoma!  Our May event at Buttonwillow was a lot of fun and a great success.  The weather was great, track conditions were excellent, and the time trials on Sunday were extremely entertaining as well.  Somehow Chasen Garcias and Ed Sy, in a heated battle for first place in the TT1 group, managed to pass each other not once, but twice during their session.  It was a lot of fun to watch and when it was all sorted out Chasen set a new GGR lap record of 1:59:67. Congratulations, Chasen!

In other news, we are trying out a one-day HPDE format at Sonoma on Friday, August 28th.  If this is a successful event we will plan on doing more in 2027, so if you haven't already registered, head on over to MSR and join the fun.
