May 6, 2026


Attendance

Call to Order 6:15pm


President:

  • Bylaws Committee (Jessica): sending invite for Google Meet next Monday at 7pm

  • Cycling Ride

    • Great turnout for first event, got a cycling enthusiast to lead

    • Doing another one this Saturday, then every first Saturday of the month starting at 9am from Canada Road and Route 92

    • Should check with Sonoma about biking on the track after 5pm on Saturday of our event there

  • Discussion of Diablo PCA request to potentially coordinate logistics (e.g. event start location) with Porsche San Francisco


Creative Director:

  • (not present, update provided by email)

  • No update on judging of website contest - typically announced at Porsche Parade

  • Working on new Motoring banner

  • Shirts for Track are all set


Vice President:

  • Insurance in place for upcoming Motoring event


Secretary:

  • Vote to approve April 1, 2026 minutes: APPROVED


Treasurer:

  • April 2026 financials discussion - club’s finances are stable, vote to accept: APPROVED


Nugget Editor:

  • Submission deadline for this month’s newsletter is May 15, 2026

  • Please submit a title with blog posts


Concours Director:

  • (not present, update provided via text)

  • Reaching out to Porsche Redwood City to start coordinating Concours


Autocross Director:

  • We have secured the ability to host timed motorsports event at Alameda Point NAS without restrictions!

  • Autocross #4 (June 27-28) will be at Alameda!

    • Will open registration early for Porsche owners in early June

    • LPR will run Saturday and we’ll run Sunday, but we’re hosting the weekend and will provide insurance (as both are PCA entities)

    • Registration fee will be higher given higher venue costs

  • Will consider other partnerships to run at Alameda, with us coordinating any events there

  • Autocross #2 (April 19) was held at Crow’s Landing with a much tighter and technical course and healthy registrations

  • Autocross #3 (May 16) at Salinas now has strong registration with good student interest

  • Discussion about making a charitable contribution to a local charity in the Alameda community, e.g. Alameda Boys & Girls Club

  • New trailer has been used for at least 3 events and is working well


Track Director:

  • Track is in the black for events completed to date this year, including National expense reimbursements

  • Increasing venue costs continue to be a headwind

  • Recent Buttonwillow DE3/CR2 event: exceeded DE budget but had low CR turnout; discussion about future of that event

  • Joint-venture with POC has secured 2 run sessions at a Laguna Seca event, one Club Racing and one advanced DE (initially private invite-only)

  • Discussion around Track sponsorships - would be helpful to have someone specifically drive this process, recommend the club create a Sponsorship Director position

  • Tee shirts are now designed and should be printed (with all the latest sponsors) for the next event


Motoring Director:

  • April 19 event was oversold with 41 cars - San Rafeal to Healdsburg

  • May 15-17 event is Hollister to Cambria (back by popular demand) with more registered participants than last year!

  • Zipper pulls are available for distribution

  • Bucket hats added to apparel store


Social Director:

  • First Bike ride on April 6 was successful

  • April 17 Friday Night Social had a strong turnout at Devils Canyon Brewery

  • April 26 Cars & Coffee at Porsche Redwood City had a huge turnout - included 50-car “Porsche Through the Decades” display plus a full overflow lot

  • Next Social: May 15 at Devils Canyon Brewery

  • May 23 Cars & Coffee at Cafe Kazka - will coordinate with Foster City PD in collaboration with Kazka owner

  • June 21 Cars & Coffee at LEMO Foundation in Redwood City, including indoor display opportunity


Membership Director:

  • May 1, 2026 member counts

    • PCA GGR

      • 4045 total (2846 primary members, 1195 co-members, 4 honorary)

      • 96 PCA Juniors, 133 renewals, 77 dropped, 43 new members

    • PCA National: 170,518 active members (112,281 primary & 58,214 co-members)

  • Vote to accept new members: APPROVED

  • Seeking a venue for a new member event, will consider a sponsor location if low or no cost

  • Next Social: May 15 at Devils Canyon Brewery - will designate at least one Board member to attend


Rally:

  • Developing a photo rally and seeking a sponsor as the starting location


Webmaster:

  • Digital assets being transferred over from prior Webmaster
