Reaching out to Porsche Redwood City to start coordinating Concours
Autocross Director:
We have secured the ability to host timed motorsports event at Alameda Point NAS without restrictions!
Autocross #4 (June 27-28) will be at Alameda!
Will open registration early for Porsche owners in early June
LPR will run Saturday and we’ll run Sunday, but we’re hosting the weekend and will provide insurance (as both are PCA entities)
Registration fee will be higher given higher venue costs
Will consider other partnerships to run at Alameda, with us coordinating any events there
Autocross #2 (April 19) was held at Crow’s Landing with a much tighter and technical course and healthy registrations
Autocross #3 (May 16) at Salinas now has strong registration with good student interest
Discussion about making a charitable contribution to a local charity in the Alameda community, e.g. Alameda Boys & Girls Club
New trailer has been used for at least 3 events and is working well
Track Director:
Track is in the black for events completed to date this year, including National expense reimbursements
Increasing venue costs continue to be a headwind
Recent Buttonwillow DE3/CR2 event: exceeded DE budget but had low CR turnout; discussion about future of that event
Joint-venture with POC has secured 2 run sessions at a Laguna Seca event, one Club Racing and one advanced DE (initially private invite-only)
Discussion around Track sponsorships - would be helpful to have someone specifically drive this process, recommend the club create a Sponsorship Director position
Tee shirts are now designed and should be printed (with all the latest sponsors) for the next event
Motoring Director:
April 19 event was oversold with 41 cars - San Rafeal to Healdsburg
May 15-17 event is Hollister to Cambria (back by popular demand) with more registered participants than last year!
