PCA-GGR Autocross #6

Our August event, PCA-GGR Autocross #6, was held on Sunday, August 10th and Salinas Municipal Airport.  Registrations were strong with 71 drivers running in 59 cars.  We hosted 48 drivers in Zone 7 Classes and 23 drivers in Fun Class.  Among them were 13 “Student” and/or “Novice” drivers who requested and were all provided Zone 7 qualified Instructors.  Our course was designed by Teddy Framhein and while challenging including a half-figure eight with crossover, was appreciated for its good ‘flow’ and effective use of the airport site.  

In RAW time, Steve Lau (2010 Cayman “Stormy” #87) took TToD on his second run with a time of 35.099 sec, Teddy Framhein (2025 GT4 RS #106) was only slightly behind and took 2nd with a time of 35.151 sec.  Monty Pack (2018 GT3 #1) took 3rd with a time of 35.741 sec.  

In PAX time, Teddy Framhein took 1st place at 34.378 sec.  Grady Carter (2016 Cayman #919) rocked, taking 2nd at 34.547 sec, and Monty Pack took 3rd at 34.955 sec.  Two other very noteworthy PAX finishes included Brant Ballantyne (2011 Boxster Spyder #7) in 5th place, and Essy Fariab (1973 911 #250) in 6th place.
