Down to The Last Couple GGR Track Events

Greetings GGR Track Enthusiasts.

We are writing to bring you up to speed on out track events for the remainder of the season and we want to thank all of you for your participation thus far.

First up we have a club race at Laguna Seca being held in conjunction with our friends at POC.  We will run on August 22-24.  As of this writing, the event promises to be well attended but there are a few spots left if you’re so inclined.

Next will be a celebration of PCA’s 70th birthday at Thunderhill Raceway on September 

13-14.  Our friends at Diablo will be running on Friday September 12, where many of our drivers and instructors will be participating. You are welcome to join us for one, two or all three days. Instruction will be available for all driving levels and as usual we will be holding time trials on Sunday afternoon.

Our final event of the year will take place on the weekend of October 18-19 at Laguna Seca.  Sign-ups have been robust, and preference for available slots will be given to those drivers who regularly attend our events. We will also be holding a Saturday evening dinner at Turn 12 in Monterey which will include some great food and a raffle with some excellent prizes.

As some of you know, Laguna will be our last event as your Track Chairs and we want to thank our track team, our volunteers, as well as all of you who have participated in the GGR track program during our tenure. It has truly been an honor to serve the club in this capacity.

Plans are already underway to schedule our events for the 2026 season.  While we will remain available to help the new track team as needed, we also look forward to driving a little bit more and working a little bit less.
