So Many Cars, So Much Coffee
August is a huge month for the car community, and a relatively quiet one for GGR social events. As GGR members along with enthusiasts from all over the world decamp to Monterey, we take a moment to decompress and recap our extra-busy July.
One of our biggest and most anticipated social events, the Dynamic Detailing Cars and Coffee drew a record crowd with over 220 cars and an amazing mix of entertainment, display and hospitality offerings. Huge shoutout to our host Dynamic Detailing for putting together a wonderful event, and we appreciate all partners as well, including our friends Euro Clinic. This day truly had it all, from generations of 911 display to high end diecast models, to a sim racing competition, and even fresh coconut drinks to cool off.

Next up, we had a duo of spectacular events on the same day, with our first collaboration cars and coffee with the VW Innovation and Engineering Center California in Belmont. The VW team spoiled us with rare prototype cars and a broad showcase of the VW Group community. Audi, VW, Lamborghini joined us along with enthusiasts of every other make and model. The GGR members attended in force and everyone had a great time browsing both the VW group lot and the exciting general parking lot. At some point, we ran out of parking space across both lots, meaning we exceeded the 400 car event capacity! We appreciate the VW group partnering with us and managing difficult logistics, and we very much look forward to another chance to work together. Hard to believe, but the day continued with another epic event, this time with our dear friends and sponsors at Porsche Redwood City hosting a 944 appreciation night and the reveal of their Classic restoration project. This wonderful evening brought transaxle Porsche owners from all over the Bay Area for a wonderful showcase and even a friendly competition. Huge thanks to Porsche Redwood City for generously hosting our community and shining the spotlight on this very special model line.
Needless to say, we are excited to take a breather in August, but we already have a few very fun things planned for the Fall, stay tuned!
