In early October, we hosted our Cars and Coffee and Parade Laps at Sonoma Raceway, raising over $1000 for Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. We enjoyed a great location for the Cars and Coffee, right behind the grandstands and directly adjacent to the grid, giving our participants a front row view of the race day. It was wonderful to meet new and old members, families out for a day at the track, and even some furry co-pilots! Our Charity Parade laps participants got to get even closer to the action: after a thorough safety meeting, forty drivers took their cars for a spin on the raceway. A lot goes into keeping track events safe and enjoyable, and an event like this is only possible through the hard work of our volunteers. We want to express our gratitude to the track team, and it is through their hard work we get to welcome a larger audience to the raceway during an already full day of Club Racing and HPDE.
