Autocrossing into Summer
PCA-GGR Autocross Enthusiasts,
On Saturday, May 17th we hosted our monthly autocross event at Salinas Municipal Airport. The event was well attended with 67 drivers participating in 58 cars. It was exciting to host a high number of 15 Student drivers, including several from our April Novice Car Control Clinic, for which we provided full-time instructors. Our past Autocross Director, Himanshu Patel, designed our course but was unable to attend due to business travel.
In RAW time, Teddy Framhein took TToD in his 2025 GT4 RS at 49.843 sec. Grant Keyser in his 2019 Carera T (modified) was 2nd with 51.552 sec. Ed Valco in his 2024 GT4 RS finished 3rd at 52.137 sec. In PAX time, Teddy Framhein was 1st at 48.746 sec. Connie Lu was 2nd in her 2014 Boxster S with 50.274 sec. Dave McGuigan was 3rd in his 1986 911 with 50.344 sec running relatively new wider wheels / tires!
Dave Jeffords of Gorilla Tornado Photography was on scene at just the right moment to capture club Treasurer, Alan R. Jung, precisely nicking a cone right at the finish in his 2018 GT3 (1st photo)! Note also that Dave captured club Social Director, Diana Bogorodskaya, who participated in her 2025 GT3 RS (2nd photo).
Our next regular PCA-GGR Autocross #4, also a Zone 7 competition event, is scheduled for Sunday, May 17th at Salinas Municipal Airport. We anticipate participation by ~68 drivers, and Dave Jeffords will be on scene for photos.
We are grateful to Porsche Redwood City for their 2025 season sponsorship and support!
