Call for the Next PCA-GGR Autocross Director for the 2027–28 Seasons

We’ll need a new PCA-GGR Autocross Director as I’ll step down at the end of the 2026 season. Serving in this role during the 2025–26 seasons has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. It’s been an honor and a pleasure to build on the outstanding contributions of past directors while helping advance the club’s autocross program and interests. Nomination Process

PCA-GGR is now accepting candidate nominations for PCA-GGR Autocross Director, a PCA-GGR Board position, for the 2027–28 seasons. Nominees will be reviewed by the PCA-GGR Board and, where appropriate, put forward for election by the PCA-GGR membership during November 2026.

PCA-GGR Autocross Director Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Board Leadership and Reporting:

  • Prepare annual autocross budget for Board approval.  Generate monthly summary of autocross activity for Board meetings.  Generate monthly autocross blogpost for club “Nugget” newsletter.  Update and maintain content on PCA-GGR Autocross website. 

Autocross Event Planning and Execution:

  • Schedule, plan, organize, and execute 9 to 11 autocross events each year, including at least one Car Control Clinic, one Zone 7 event and MC the season awards.

  • Coordinate with contacts at Bay Area autocross clubs and autocross site owners to negotiate, create and publish annual schedule.  Coordinate with PCA National and Board VP to secure Certificates of Insurance and related Endorsements documents for all events.  Coordinate with site owners and execute use/lease agreements for all event sites.Coordinate with regional leaders to commission course designs from club volunteers and collaborate with regional Safety Stewards to ensure thorough safety reviews.  Use PCA National and MSReg websites plus Excel to advertise, plan, organize and run events. Run drivers’ meetings and deliver safety briefings in collaboration with Safety Steward.

Trailer, Equipment, and Maintenance:

  • Ensure the club utility trailer and onboard equipment are maintained and available for relevant events.Arrange trailer transportation to and from events through a towing service or club volunteers.
