Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

June 3, 2026


Attendance

  • Present: President - Howard Yao, Vice President - Brad Zucroff, Secretary - Eric Wilson, Treasurer - Alan Jung, Membership - Wen Shen, Autocross - Steve Forshay, Motoring - Cheryl Spott, Co-Track - Steve Hogge, Co-Track - Kurt Eckhardt, Social - Diana Bogorodskaya, Webmaster & Rally Director - Jessica Toney, Technology Advisor - Alex Wu

Call to Order 6:09pm


President:

  • GGR Cycling: Howard has attended first two but can’t make the next one, so far has been a good turn-out

  • Follow-up on Diablo PCA request to potentially coordinate logistics (e.g. event start location) with Porsche San Francisco - Howard has replied, and is coordinating with Brian Atkins to potentially establish best practices across the Zone

  • Discussion around how Directors are responsible for evaluating participant behavior and driving abilities, with the priority being safety of all participants

  • Zone 7 President’s Call coming up on July 15 at 6:00pm on Zoom, Brad will accompany Howard


Creative Director:

  • (not present)

  • Jessica will be attending Porsche Parade, where the results of the Website Competition will be announced


Vice President:

  • Insurance in place for Laguna Seca track event and Motoring event this month


Secretary:

  • Bylaws Committee Update

    • Eric (Secretary), Cheryl (Motoring), Jessica (Rally), and Diana (Social) met on May 11, 2026 and reviewed our existing bylaws versus the National-provided template, highlighting some thing that we want to change

    • Next meeting to be scheduled, likely later June

  • Vote to approve May 6, 2026 minutes: APPROVED


Treasurer:

  • May 2026 financials discussion - club’s finances are stable, vote to accept: APPROVED


Concours Director:

  • (not present, update provided to Howard)

  • Will coordinate with Diana and Porsche Redwood City for this year’s Concours event


Autocross Director:

  • First event back at Alameda on targeted for June 27-28, pending review of an insurance policy by the city, and we’re hopeful about getting approval - will be advertised this Friday at 6pm and open registration for Porsche drivers first on Saturday at 9am

  • Autocross #3 (May 16) at Salinas went well


Track Director:

  • Discussion of financials of the track program - despite some losses on individual events, we’ve received material sponsorships and PCA National reimbursements, and we are in a healthy state

  • Laguna Seca event on July 31 - Aug 2: have filled 40 DE slots (with some folks on waitlist) and Club Racing registration opening soon with strong interest

  • Beginning to collaborate with tracks on dates for 2027

  • Steve has run his 718 GT4 with other modern GT cars at Laguna Seca during 92 dB-limit events with Hooked on Driving, and no street cars were flagged for sound, so future 92 dB DE-only days there are a possibility

  • Collaborating with Porsche Track Experience organizer at Laguna Seca about how to align our instruction with what participants in that program learn and cross-promote

  • Sponsorship update: 8 organizations sponsoring the program, with about half the committed money already collected

  • Discussion around running DE sessions “windows-up”, which will require checking with each track about their specific policies


Motoring Director:

  • May 15-17 event from Hollister to Cambria was a lot of fun, 30 cars and ~40 participants

  • Preparing for June 20 Mines Road drive, expecting another sell-out

  • Treffen at Sea 2026: working with Caroline (Diablo) and seeking members with SUVs to volunteer to offer tours of Marin Headlands, Wine Country, etc.

  • Will work with Jessica & Alex to sort out Motoring calendar on the website


Social Director:

  • Social media going well

  • Held May 23 Cars & Coffee at Cafe Kazka - worked well as an early-morning event

  • Planning June 21 Cars & Coffee at LEMO Foundation in Redwood City, including indoor display opportunity

  • Following Cars & Coffee in July at Dynamic Detailing

  • Schedule for Boxster Brunch at Alice’s will be added to calendar


Membership Director:

  • June 1, 2026 member counts

    • PCA GGR

      • 4026 total (2838 primary members, 1184 co-members, 4 honorary)

      • 97 PCA Juniors, 121 renewals, 68 dropped, 38 new members

    • PCA National: 171,019 active members (112,595 primary, 58,401 co-members, and 23 life members)

  • Vote to accept new members: APPROVED

  • Seeking a venue for a new member event, will consider a sponsor location if low or no cost and/or combination with a Cars & Coffee or Monthly Social


Webmaster:

  • Will sort out Motoring calendar issues


Rally Director:

  • Seeking sponsorship for start and/or finish locations before laying out the route


Nugget Editor:

  • (not present)
