Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

April 1, 2026


Attendance

  • Present: President - Howard Yao, Vice President - Brad Zucroff, Secretary - Eric Wilson, Membership - Wen Shen, Social - Diana Bogorodskaya, Autocross - Steve Forshay, Motoring - Cheryl Spott, Co-Track - Steve Hogge, Co-Track - Kurt Eckhardt, Nugget Editor - Jim Tierney, Webmaster & Rally Director - Jessica Toney, Club Race Director - Dan Zitter, Former Webmaster - Alex Wu

  • Not Present: Treasurer - Alan Jung, Concours - Pia Mancini


Call to Order 6:13pm


President:

  • Generous sponsorship from Porsche Redwood City received to help with the Autocross and Track series


Vice President:

  • Insurance will be secured for upcoming Track and Motoring events


Treasurer:

  • Not present, but report sent via email

  • March 2026 financials discussion - club’s finances are stable, vote to accept: APPROVED


Concours Director:

  • Not present


Autocross Director:

  • No events since last meeting - Car Control Clinics that had been penciled in for the end of March had to be canceled due to Steve needing to unexpectedly travel for personal reasons

  • Still in discussions with CIty of Alameda about the use of timing for educational events

  • Autocross #2 will be on Sunday, April 19 and registrations are healthy, with PCA-LPR running an event the day before


Track Director:

  • Held DE2 and first Club Race at Thunderhill with good attendance in DE yet weaker CR

  • Next event is DE3/CR2 at Buttonwillow on May 2-3, will be promoting it further to drive more registrations (particularly among racers)

  • Discussion around decline in Club Racing registrations and participation, will keep dialog open with racers

  • Considering dates for an additional event at Thunderhill following track repaving later this year

  • Discussion about sponsorships leads


Motoring Director:

  • St. Patty’s Fun Run had 50 cars

  • Next Fun Run is April 19 and is sold out (40 cars)


Social Director:

  • Women’s event at Porsche Redwood City on March 7 went well

  • Cars & Coffee on March 14 had decent attendance

  • Bike Ride on April 4

  • Co-hosting Cars & Coffee with Porsche Redwood City on April 26, coordinating 50-car display

  • Additional events planned in May, June, and August

  • Discussion of Photo Contest in planning phases

  • Still developing concept for Sim event


Membership Director:

  • April 1, 2026 member counts

    • PCA GGR

      • 4044 total (2850 primary members, 1192 co-members, 4 honorary)

      • 168 PCA Juniors, 50 renewals, 52 dropped, 33 new members

    • PCA National: 169,973 active members (111,965 primary & 58,008 co-members)

  • Vote to accept new members: APPROVED

  • NEW Friday Social on April 17 @ 5pm at Devil’s Canyon Brewery


Webmaster:

  • Finalizing transitioning access and full admin ownership of digital assets


Rally Director:

  • Seeking location to start our first Rally event from, potentially a sponsor location


Nugget Editor:

  • Submission deadline for this month’s newsletter is April 15, 2026


Secretary:

  • Vote to approve March 4, 2026 minutes: APPROVED

  • Jessica will host a meeting for the Bylaws Committee by Zoom next Monday
