Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

July 1, 2026


Attendance

  • Present: President - Howard Yao, Vice President - Brad Zucroff, Secretary - Eric Wilson, Treasurer - Alan Jung, Membership - Wen Shen, Social - Diana Bogorodskaya, Autocross - Steve Forshay, Motoring - Cheryl Spott, Co-Track - Steve Hogge, Co-Track - Kurt Eckhardt, Webmaster & Rally Director - Jessica Toney, Concours - Pia Mancini

  • Not Present: Nugget Editor - Jim Tierney, Club Race Director - Dan Zitter, Technology Advisor - Alex Wu


Call to Order 6:05pm


President:

  • Bylaws Update (provided by Eric)

    • Likely taking the approach of starting from the National template and overlaying GGR-specific points instead of attempting to update the historical version

    • Committee should meet again soon

    • Committee will need to have a version suitable for the ballot during November, so goal of working draft presented to the Board by September meeting

  • GGR Cycling

    • Next event this Saturday, July 4, with Henry leading

    • Last month didn’t have any event organizers due to various scheduling conflicts

    • Will have a “captain” designated for each future event

  • Follow-up on Diablo PCA request to potentially coordinate logistics (e.g. event start location) with Porsche San Francisco - Howard continuing to coordinate with Brian Atkins to establish best practices across the Zone

  • All Zone 7 regions will uphold driving bans instituted by any region in the zone

  • Zone 7 President’s Call coming up on July 15 at 6:00pm on Zoom, Brad will attend with Howard

  • Consolidating a “wish list” of jobs where additional volunteers could be helpful - Howard will publish the list in his Nugget article each month

  • Discussion about Board Elections this November

    • Vice President, Treasurer, Membership Director, Social Director, Nugget Editor, and Autocross Director will be on the ballot

    • The Board will form a nomination committee in August, to have candidates in place by October so the ballot can be prepared for November distribution

  • Discussion about an email received from an LPR PCA member with feedback about the driving they observed during the recent Motoring run

    • PCA National’s insurance coverage and procedures were reviewed

    • Revisions to event procedures to ensure we meet the PCA National Minimum Standards for Touring events were discussed, including an updated Drivers Meeting script, and this information will be shared back to the LPR member


Creative Director:

  • GGR was not recognized in the Website Competition; PCA’s Facebook lists the winners

  • Have ideas for new merch for the summer, will send out some ideas ahead of the next meeting


Vice President:

  • No updates to provide


Secretary:

  • Vote to approve June 3, 2026 minutes: APPROVED


Treasurer:

  • June 2026 financials discussion - club’s finances are stable, improving slightly, vote to accept: APPROVED


Concours Director:

  • Met with contacts at Porsche Redwood City to plan Concours

  • Event will not be open to the public to enter display cars this year, as last year’s event was a lot to manage

  • Lunches will likely be prepackaged for efficient distribution and only provided for participants, +1s, judges, and volunteers; no food available for purchase

  • Seeking volunteers for entry and parking management - will provide a list

  • Discussion of whether to advertise the event (beyond participants) at all


Autocross Director:

  • Autocross #4 held on June 28 at Alameda, sold out by Porsche drivers, first timed event there since November 2019!

  • Investigating another Alameda event later this year

  • Autocross #5 (a Zone 7 event) will be July 11 at Salinas


Track Director:

  • No events since last month

  • Next event is at Laguna on July 31 - August 2 being run with POC

  • Then Friday one-day DE at Sonoma (Aug 28) and weekend (Oct 3-4) at Sonoma

  • Will be following up on sponsors on their financial commitments - need a designated person in the club to coordinate these agreements

  • Will be following up with tracks about running windows-up and pedestrian/cycling on track after it goes cold

  • Have started discussions with most tracks about reserving dates for next year


Motoring Director:

  • North Coast run will be posted for registration soon

  • Working with PCA National on Treffen at Sea, compiling volunteers, planning a “Taste of San Francisco” (including Brian Atkin’s clam chowder) and drives around the area


Social Director:

  • Good recent Cars & Coffee events and planning more

  • Discussion of how events are (and can be) advertised on social media channels

  • Instagram hit 5k followers!


Membership Director:

  • July 1, 2026 member counts

    • PCA GGR

      • 4106 total (2829 primary members, 1183 co-members, 4 honorary)

      • 95 PCA Juniors, 117 renewals, 69 dropped, 44 new members

    • PCA National: 171,583 active members (112,916 primary, 58,644 co-members, 23 life)

  • Vote to accept new members: APPROVED

  • Seeking a venue for a new member event


Webmaster:

  • Motoring calendar issue has been solved


Rally Director:

  • Putting together a budget and plan for a Photo Rally (not a TSD)


Nugget Editor:

  • (not present)
